Notifications
Optional invitations to write and revisit.
Reflection reminders
Open Your profile and choose Reflection reminders to set your preferred pace. Enable reminders only if you want them, and allow notification permission when prompted. These are app notifications, not items created in Apple Reminders.
Yearly notifications
The Yearly revisit notifications control in Your profile enables an optional invitation at 6 p.m. when a saved answer turns one year old. Tap it to open the matching date in Journal. Enablement and scheduling stay local to each device.
If a notification does not arrive
Check app notification permission in system Settings, then check Focus and notification delivery settings. Reopen the app after changing settings. Anniversary notifications require qualifying saved writing; they are not sent every day. Notifications use generic wording rather than your journal text.
