Import and export
Keep a copy and review files before bringing them back.
Export your data
From Your profile, choose Download my data, then Download a copy. The app creates a readable JSON export directly on your device. Choose where to save it. The export includes collections, prompts, answers, and reflection profiles.
Import a file
Choose Import my data in Your profile, select a supported file, and review the preview before confirming. The app supports compatible JSON backups and text-based journal exports in formats including CSV, TSV, text, Markdown, HTML, RTF, PDF, DOCX, and ZIP. Compatibility depends on the file’s contents; not every document or attachment can be restored.
Know the limits
Existing writing and settings are kept, and matching entries are skipped. Import accepts files under 50 MB, up to 20,000 entries, and up to 1 MB of text per entry. Store exports carefully because they may contain private writing. Do not assume an export preserves every media attachment; keep original recordings separately when needed.
